    ... to Bryan thankfully with a decent sized and powered battery and no helmet. We missed Bryan as he decided to walk the bikes back and missed us as we went to the bike hire shop.     After lunch we visited Runkelstein Castle, a medieval fortress built in the 1200's. It's main claimm to fame is the large number of period frescos painted about 100 years later. After various periods of disuse and damage, the castle and frescos were restored for public viewing in 2000.

    ... a couple light pasta entrees and we did not disagree. Chris had a ricotta and spinach tortellati ragout and mine was tagliatelle fatte (kind of a wide, flat noodle) with radicchio and bresaola. They were quickly prepared by a jovial Italian cook, who, when he poked his head out, seemed relieved we ordered something requiring cooking. Such a lucky accident we wondered in there.
