... 2:30. Missed my stop so had to walk back a little bit but that was OK. Had a very lazy afternoon. Did some washing and obeyed the sign in my bathroom about not hanging washing in it to dry so I hung it on the doors to my balcony!!! Did some reading and had a bit of a nap. Ate dinner at the hotels restaurant which was average. The highlight was a dog that trotted up to the fountain that I was sitting next to to have a drink - everyone thought that was ...

... It was a lovely way to spend our last night on board, and even had a live brass band playing at the nearby resort where we were able to play name that tune – and later when we thought the band had gotten surprisingly louder from our cabin, we realised that they had actually gotten on a boat and were sailing around! Guess that’s life on the water. One more night at sea – wonder what it’s like to sleep on land ...

... Jacob’s Beach. It is about a 30 minute walk from Dubrovnik. The beach is accessed by a stairway behind a monastery. It is a pebble/rocky beach, surrounded by cliffs. There are beautiful views back on the walls of Dubrovnik and of an island right in front of the beach. This time there was also a really cool, huge sailing ship which was a cool view as well. As always, the Adriatic water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature. So much heaven! ...

... the Hilton, by the parking lot. Just outside the gates of the city there are lots of kayak companies selling their wares, but none were "Adriatic Adventures", and none seemed to know where this company's office was. Hmmmm...little stressed wondering if we were duped.

Next stop was at the old walled city of Kotor, with fortification walls built up the very very rugged mountainsides to protect against the Turks invading.
