... we managed to score a place for 30 euro each in old town. It was a 2 bedroom apartment which suited our needs. Everyone was pretty zonked, Isaac and Jose had a nap while Gem and I went to the rocks for a dip. I'm glad I powered on and went for a swim because it was here that I found the cliff jumping! It was a lovely way to spend our last night on board, and even had a live brass band playing at the nearby resort where we were able to play name that tune – and later when we thought the band had gotten surprisingly louder from our cabin, we realised that they had actually gotten on a boat and were sailing around! Guess that’s life on the water. One more night at sea – wonder what it’s like to sleep on land ...

... the Hilton, by the parking lot. Just outside the gates of the city there are lots of kayak companies selling their wares, but none were "Adriatic Adventures", and none seemed to know where this company's office was. Hmmmm...little stressed wondering if we were duped.

... which is interesting but not a must-do unless you're a GoT fan. I commented in the pictures some of the famous scenes of Game of Thrones I saw.

After maybe 3 hours we went back to the hostel for some beers. My wall buddy turned 30 today so at midnight and the hostel brought out a bottle of champagne for everyone on the balcony, which of course upset him. His friends came later and apologized to me for having to deal with him all day.

... and now the walls are a major attraction: it took us about 2 hours and the views of the old town and the sea are unparalleled. The downside is there is nowhere to hide from the sun, which made it quite tempting to hop the part of the wall over the sea and take a dip in the Adriatic. The other fun part about walking the walls is that in places, the walkway is only one person wide, which makes navigating the other tourists a bit nerve wracking. Given the early June heat ...
