... Since it was April fools day, Jimmy and Emily decided to try and trick the boys by telling them they had gotten an amazing job opportunity back home and had to leave in a week so they wouldn't be able to run the show. Unfortunately Gary ruined it by catching on to the fact that it was indeed April fools. It was still super funny though!

Unfortunately we never found it but we did bike around the whole island. It was really nice. A little tough at certain parts with hills and what not, but not too bad over all. ... yet to see such a dirty beach anywhere here, even Bondi is cleaner.

After lunch we checked out the southern end but there was nothing but more dirty beaches and ramshackle accommodation, no wonder all their guests head north. It's a pity that this part of Nicaragua is so unclean and surely it would not take much to have an island wide drive to clean it up and keep it that way.

... from Honduras, with only 5 days left of lobster season he was nearly ready to go home after 9 months at sea. They bought us a few beers and we chatted away until the boat arrived, and very lovely guys they were.

We got on the boat with the sky becoming a dark grey colour and sure enough the heavens opened for about 10 minutes. Great, rain!! We pulled a big plastic sheet over us and waited until it passed. Soon after we were off on a very wavy journey ...
