One day we all decided to trek to the North of the island, as there is a resort, which is charging $350 a night! Just to try and put this into perspective the average room rate on the island was between $20-30!! We were all in our flip flops walking along and slowly but surely the path got muddier and muddier, by the time ...

... to are on the well traveled backpackers route however this place was a bit off the beaten path. So unfortunately there weren't any other solo travelers and very few backpackers to try and hang with. Nonetheless I still had a great time and did meet some interesting people; the Dutch family from Holland who's 11 year old son thought I was 17 HAHAHA; The two couples from Austria and France; and of course the Dutch television crew.

Our ride on the cargo ship, The Islano D, was interesting it looked like a refugee boat going from Morocco to Italy, we sat on the floor the whole way, but the local people brought hammocks, doing it in style. Sitting on the deck, looking at the stars was great, but sitting got very uncomfortable. ... which is only fair I suppose, but her friend was a total you know what. Yuck. I chatted with some cool girls I had talked to briefly before everyone showed up and then had one of my brownies before turning in for the night and being kind of lame.
Overall, the day was blissfully perfect. The whole day relaxing on the beach and seeing rainbow and cute kids was beautiful in its simplicity. As the title says, these really are the types of days I live ...

... I went and picked out 20 for all my family and friends. The lady looked at me like I was crazy when I went to pay for them. I started the long process of writing to everyone while I was waiting anyway. It gave me something to do since the internet wasn't working too well.
Once on the Big Corn, Dean and I decided to go to a hotel on the beach and share a room to split the cost. It's a good thing we decided to do that since there were two queen size beds ...
