      On Tuesday we drove from our little hotel in Faistenau, through the alps and mountain passes across the country to Lienz. We took the scenic route through all the little towns, past little water falls and up roads which look like they were only ever intended to be used by horses.       ... just one hangar but it was free so that's always good! After that we decided to go to the Salzburg Museum in the centre of the old town. That was kinda a let down after the castle and other historic things we've seen. The top and bottom floor were basically just art galleries and not really the kind I like.

      ... and laughter ( and occasionally tears). Their was also plenty of tobogganing around the village and our apartments. The village being located in a valley, and with the alps as a backdrop provided scenery and an environment that is a truly picturesue. On Christmas Eve, we had the traditional Lange family get together, and even managed to squeeze into the local church for a half of the service.       ... learnt to make pizza shapes (snow plow) but it was all in German. Alex loved it but Samantha was a little hesitant. We then ventured over to Alpendorf to ski as there was not enough snow at Werfenweg. We had a couple of small runs and Alex demonstrated that he had little control.
