... but after review of the pictures I can safely say I had a great time. We got back to the hotel at 6 am and I was woken up by a hotel receptionist face down in my underwear at noon (Check out was 11, haha) After giving Frank and Marika a huge hug goodbye I took the ferry and drove three hours back to Dusseldorf. 13 kilometers outside we got stuck in dead stopped traffic for two hours ...
Nordeney, Lower Saxony, Germany magnumcy... at the party. We drank hard until Mirko took us to a small local disco which was interesting to say the least. We got hit on by a German girl who didn't drink, and the second thing that she said to us was that she tried to kill her self a few times........ a few abortion stories later and we figured it was time to leave the bar, haha. At 4am Lorezno and me ...
Norderney, Lower Saxony, Germany magnumcy... I had 10 on the train over) they had to meet with a state official to go over wedding details. I was hungry so they dropped me off at a bar/restaurant to hang out. Four hours later I had made four German friends and was doing shots with them. They group of locals bought me a shot of Friesengeist that was lit on fire (think Sambuca but awful)
Norderny, Lower Saxony, Germany magnumcy... on our way to Nordeney in 4 hours. It has become a legendary story among the Germans because I was not slurring or acting drunk after such a feet. Maike said that Germans were supposed to show Americans how to drink but she had never seen anyone drink like that before so I had the upper upper hand. Aren't you guys proud???? :)
Norden, Lower Saxony, Germany magnumcy... works) and, "really sturdy zipper sewing" and, all the german technical language for sewing, too. I'm smarter and my backpack is fixed. Great! The rest of the evening went with game after game of Rummy around the card table until finally it was late and time for everyone to go to bed and for me to write. By the way, thank goodness for free wifi! Unlock your wifi! A traveler might want to write home, even if you're in Langen b Bremerhaven in a tiny town by the North Sea.. --Star
Bremerhaven, Bremen, Germany stars... it is possible to "walk on water" across the mudflats to the islands that are normally isolated by water. It can be quite dangerous because the tide comes in quickly once it starts. It would be easy to get sucked in. To make sure we arrived at low tide, we woke up at 4:30am in Bremen (where the sun had already risen because we were at such high latitude). We walked a bit on the mudflats when we got there at 8 am but took a ferry to the island ...
Carolinensiel, Germany caroruben... enjoyed it, though, and am SO THANKFUL that Anne's dad offered to take me there! Today I went to school with Anne and talked for a few English classes...and got to experience my first ride on a motorcycle. More on this visit of the trip later. I'm off to France on Friday and will arrive in Switzerland next week Wednesday, until then you may not hear much from me! Take care!
Wittmund, Germany caro_in_nor... now that was a tear-jerker for me. At the end of the exhibit there was a "Forum Migration" which let people both research their ancestors, trade their roots through the genealogical data bases and also to enquire into current immigration requirements. I got a bit mixed up at that point as there did not seem to be an exit to the exhibit. One sort of had to go through the forum migration and I was not interested. Eventually, after I went out the wrong door a couple of times, I was ...

When we looked at the ocean an hour later - where we walked was totally underwater!!!!! Michael drove us on the autobahn!!!
