We filled up with gas in Ashland and then took I-95 north to route 17 in Fredricksburg. Route 17 is the scenic route that heads into the mountains of Virginia. I was already bored out of my gourd before we hit I-81 in Winchester. Buddy was ready for a morning nap so I drove again...and didn't wreck this ...

We were happy to see our little summer friends for the first time this year!! FIREFLIES!!! We just love these little things - they are like little fairies & we can sit and watch them for hours!!

What a difference a day can make. Woke up to a hot and humid 26 degrees. No rain or heated gear today. We started heading south on route 91 and then across green mountain forest range in Vermont. This road made up for the bad road and night driving last night. Great pavement, lots of twisties and very little traffic. Too hot to stop and take pics because temp on bike was 31 before the humidity. Some of the trees are starting to turn a brilliant red. We made our way through ...
