... The river was really neat to see, as were the houses. The view up from the valley floor was incredible as well. This was a quick little part of our day, but worth mentioning!

The other thing I forgot was the scariest part of our trip. That's only because I'm terrified of heights, Jonathan was fine. We climbed the tower of the town hall building to get the view at the top. I guess I didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into, but maybe the fact that only ...

... a mile and a half and took us about an hour giving us beautiful views from different angles on the way. After poking around a few more shops we popped into another recommended café for lunch. ... be coming home with me!) We went back to our room for a while, then decided to try to find a supermarket. That meant we had to go outside the wall. We climbed up some very old, very steep stairs, some of which are worn in the middle from centuries of feet, and walked along the city wall. It is stone, is covered, and the outer part has only gun and arrow slits. The inner side has a wooden rail, and looks out over the terra cotta tiled roofs of ...

Karlovy Vary

... mineral springs continuously flow and people just walk up and fill up their cups. I decided to take it slow and only get a small amount. Turns out it was the right call. It was gross. My last cup was at the geyser - it shoots 12 meters in the air and they have totally enclosed it in glass. After that we walked down the street and had lunch. I just had a simple chicken breast with rice. At this point though I needed a beer to settle ...
