Today Sheila and I traveled to Crested Butte, Colorado. While in Crested Butte, we did some shopping and had lunch. There were a lot of sales going on. I got a nice sweatshirt for $20. After shopping, we headed to Mount Crested Butte. Again, we arrived early. The ski lifts to take you to the top of the mountain don't open until this weekend. Tomorrow, we head up the mountain in Crested Butte.

    Happy Trails,

Randy retired in 2009 and moved to his dream house in the mountains in Buena Vista. It should be a good visit. While traveling through the pass, Sheila and I stopped to have a bit of a snowball fight.

    Happy Trails,

We spent the day today at the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We started with a mile long hike from the Visitor's Center along the south rim of the canyon. The canyon is compared to the Grand Canyon except that the Grand Canyon is shaped from the erosion of soft rock, while the Black Canyon is shaped from erosion of hard rock. The hike itself was fairly flat and allowed us to get real ...

... was under control and that I had made reservations at Blue Mesa Recreational Ranch in Gunnison, CO. Her follow up question was another lesson learned. She told me that according to THE PLAN, we had reservations on June 7 at the Blue Mesa Recreational Ranch, But guess what Chuck, today is June 6! She had a point. Apparently, my date keeping needs some work. So I called the ranch and with a little paperwork, we had reservations for tonight as well.
