Woke up early to see the sun rising as we approached Turkey. Went on shore for a Diane and Tony tour which involves walking, taxis and getting lost but you see all the good stuff. The 200 + "tent city" on the beach is constantly changing, and g-r-o-w-i-n-g. Milena is bustling with activity today. Not only are we preparing ...

... in Kos. On the beach next to the Harbor, Jacques says there are more that 200 tents, as they are camping on the beach, waiting for the Blue Star Ferry line to take them to Athens. I do feel sorry for all these thousands of wayward people. According to estimates, of just how many will be transported to Athens, and ...

... one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The city was called Halicarnassus of Caria in ancient times and was famous for housing the Mausoleum of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Bodrum Castle, built by the Knights Hospitaller in the 15th century, overlooks the harbour and the marina. The castle grounds include a Museum of Underwater Archaeology and hosts several cultural festivals throughout the year. The city had a population of 36,317 in ...
