    ... here. We stayed in Kapi Creek and Seagull Bay. In Seagull Bay 10 of us went to dinner one night at the "organic restaurant" that didn't serve anything.     ... We have sampled local food in several places and particularly enjoyed The Mermaid – a seafront restaurant with a roof top seating area and a brilliant maître d and side kick. The food was great too.



    Serife has her restaurant on a shady vine covered veranda off the main street into town.

    She makes amazing pancakes in a wood fired oven and has other local dishes. A simple but adequate basic menu is on order ...

    ... choice for our last evening meal. We had enjoyed other dishes but the speciality dishes requiring "slow cooking" definitely needed to be sampled. We pre – ordered a lamb dish cooked in a clay pot and Serife’s personal favourite, a chicken bake. These were supplemented by meze, a chicken cooked in an iron pan and a mince pancake.
