... both staring at you. We are right by their palace which is awesome, but it is crazy to see how the people of this country are towards him. It is remarkable is what it is.

So far all is well and tomorrow I have orientation to meet with other study abroad students. I have met quite a few so far but it would be nice to meet with everyone.

I'm off to bed since my jet lag is in full effect...

So there was this movie that came out in 1990 called "Joe Versus the Volcano." I have no idea what its actually about, but I think the title sums up my experience getting to Thailand. "Heather Versus the Volcano." But my experience getting to Thailand was way more than just dealing with one cranky Icelandic volcano. It was Heather vs. the volcano, crazy baggage weight limits, political unrest and my stupid credit union.
