... into the Everglades wilderness. (An unintended design feature turns out that it was extremely aerodynamic.) Brad made a cursory look around, but he was on a strict timetable and he didn't have time to search for missing hats and shredded passports. That passenger is more than likely still regretting not listening to Brad's sage words of advice. A short show followed where Zane demonstrated how alligators have sensors in their jaws that enable them to eat while sleeping. They ...

Originally we were to fly from New Orleans to Portland for the next leg of our epic journey, but the flights were just to expensive. By then the ship was underway and as we were on the starboard side, we had a different view of our departure from Fort Lauderdale - we looked down the coast towards Miami and all the ...

Finally, the time came to finish up at Orlando and move onto Fort Lauderdale, the next leg of our trip. We were very sad to leave the villa at Orlando as we really felt at home there. Also, we were scared about trying to fit all the luggage into the Ford Escape! Needless to say, it was a very squashy drive...

The drive took much longer than we thought it would. It was mainly motorway (on the Florida Turnpike) and a bit boring really - not much to see. We stopped a couple ...
