    The milk maids were up at 6am to milk the cows! We joined them at 8.30am for a delicious breaky spread including fruit, muesli and yoghurt + meat, cheese and bread. A great start to the day! Teresa was given the day off, so the three of us went hiking up to Weißeck, a 3hr climb to 2711m. The summit was under cloud but we got some beautiful glimpses of the alps on the hike up.     ... this minor border crossing. I expect we were the only non locals she would see all day. Most of the traffic going backwards and forwards would be locals for whom a line drawn on a map is an irrelevance.

    We set off early tomorrow for our first overnight stop in Hungary. The weather today is awful but the forecast for Thursday is much better. We don't expect to have 15 days on the bike without having to wear our wet gear. It would be nice,however, not to have to set off in the rain.
