    ... Whilst on our way we encountered a terrific thunderstorm overhead which made us both jump! We arrived at Steve and Norma's house around 5pm.     ... I have to confess (well apart from Rusty the cat who is American through and through). And in true Brits abroad style we Anglicised the feast - we had a big roast turkey, that part we stuck with US tradition, but for the side dishes we had roast potatoes instead of mashed, roasted veggies and sprouts instead of green bean casserole with mushroom sauce, and yorkshire puddings instead of candied yams.
