Things I learned or re-learned in Haiti
I have had an amazing time in Haiti and yes I will return. Hopefully sooner than later. Reflecting on the trip, I started to list the 10 things I learned (or re-learned) while in Haiti. In David Lettermen style I will start at 10 and work my way to the number 1 reason. 10. Roosters do NOT cock-a-doodle-doo just in the morning to wake people up. They make noise ALL night long. 9. Riding in the back of a pick-up truck is so much fun. ...
Sunday and Monday in Port-au-Prince
We left Jeremie at 9:00am after another exciting ride in the pick up truck. We had to drop Pastor Chrisnel's daughters off at church so we had a nice drive through town. It looked like a transformation had taken place. The streets were empty and clean! Everyone was in church and apparently they had cleaned the streets before church. Sunday is a day of rest and dressing up for the Lord. This is definitely a lesson we can learn from ...
United Methodist guest houses
I will try to post the video again! I have attached a video of the children who attend the school on the grounds near the united Methodist guest house here in port-au-prince. There are 1400 children who attend the school and they start each morning ...

We were rocking our safety green t-shirts that when we were together as a group, we looked like a beam of sunshine. I think you actually needed ...
Proposed Itinerary
... Latin America is a joke. I can’t wait to see the 1,000 foot redwoods, the giant Sequoias, the Grand Canyon, the hottest place in the western hemisphere, once of my favorite regions on earth-San Diego and Orange County, and experience what I’m sure will be a new favorite: San Francisco! So much to see, so much to do-I need eternity. I’m not at all pleased that this trip is only 18 days, but money is definitely a factor and the trip is ...
