... lake began was not worth the risk. It was a beautiful island and would be very pretty in all seasons.

After Acadia (and 4 nights in a row of sleeping in the van, which is well shy of last trips record, we must be getting old!) we were very excited to be heading to New Hampshire, the land of no tax, for a hotel and 2 days shopping. Suffice to say we shopped till we dropped. By the end of it we were quite exhausted ;-).

... in the oldest hotel in Stowe, and long story short, he eventually fell off the roof while trying to save a child who somehow got out on the roof. He is a friendly ghost, and guests at the hotel can frequently hear him tap dancing and often wake up their belongings rearranged in their hotel room. It was a spooky evening that got us in the mood for Halloween!
