... notch. We are in the Smugglers Notch Inn. It’s an old inn and the floors are all wood and uneven which I love. The bed seems comfortable and the guy who checked us in was really sweet. I am more of a 4 star gal so these little "quaint" places are more mom’s style than mine but its for one night so I suck it up. ... well received by the Saga-aged visitors (the rest, not us). We had left it a bit late to see everything, so we scooted about the site taking glimpses of the various displays, including one room with four original Claude Monet paintings. The owners clearly don't use a Dollar Store very often. It was a good stop-off and deserved closer inspection. Sadly, it closed at 5 and we were urged out into Burlington's rush-hour traffic.

... covered caramel chunks - YUMMY!! We also visiting the Flavor Graveyard before continuing our journey. After leaving the factory, we really started seeing some wonderful colors. Being in the mountains and the lack of moisture recently made the colors so vivid. Perfect timing for the best color. ... church because it was the first church built in Vermont, it was quite similar to the one at Whitby Abbey with individual family pews, only everything was painted white. The services lasted two hours and were twice a day and it was compulsory to attend..... No excuses allowed.
