There were other places we could go down the creek but we yelled at the first person we saw on shore as we passed by and it was the owner- he stopped what he was doing and told us what slip to go to and came to help us dock.     ... good service, very nice man, looks like a nice marina in case anyone is in the area! Troy Federal Lock was the only one without hanging ropes, we had to loop our lines around a pipe instead. After the last lock we hit tidal waters.... time to pay attention and plan our runs accordingly from now on.     It was a two hour train ride from Grand Central to the end of the line at Wassiac, in Massachusetts. From there I was picked up and driven another hour to Alford, home to the Bevans, Mary's relatives who have lived in the States for the last 50 years.
