Gilly's Satnav had its usual off day but after stopping for an hour in Oberammergau we entered a very grey Garmisch-Partenkirchen and went straight to the hotel which was more like a hostel.

We spent the evening at a bar called Sausalito's which was quite lively.

At around 10.30pm we returned to the hotel and I immediately ...

The evening concluded with a reception hosted by Lutheran Hour Ministries to welcome everyone! Kurt Buchholz and I both spoke briefly and then continued meeting and talking to our fellow travelers.

Sadly, two days later he was found dead in the lake bordering the palace. He was just 40 years ...

Again, we were picked up by two private water taxis and taken up the Grand Canal where we went under Rialto Bridge and back to mainland and rejoined our coach to Mestre where we are staying overnight at Apogia Sirio Hotel. Today was pretty much a write off due to a massive hangover. Luckily the motogp was on and i kicked back and watched that all day. Went for a walk with a random girl that I met that morning just on the hiking trails at the top of the hill. Very slow going and it was raining the whole time.
