I had scheduled the internet to go back on Friday so we had that and should have our limited cable back today. 17 states, 5 provinces and just over 19,000 km. and we are back home for a while at least. That makes just over 30,000 km. in two big trips in the past 9 months that my wonderful husband has driven and that Harvey has handled. Wow!!!!

      a North American type parade.
Numerous marching bands participate and all bring their particular style of music and choreography. Together with local businesses and community groups they form a two hour parade full of music, colour, community and business promotion. The crowds cheered and clapped and encouraged the participants. It was very much like you we see in the movies.

... of fun new activities. We cooked a turkey for Christmas day, sang Christmas songs and enjoyed our very first white christmas.

      - Victoria has christmas parades, Christmas markets with free apple cider, The Empress Hotel is full of christmas trees and gingerbread houses also.

      - Victoria is known as the warmest place in Canada and i was told that it doesn't snow there. However, it snowed 3 times in December- January 2013-2014.

... had to build a train set and dollhouse after they visited Victoria (I was just told that I needed to clarify that the dollhouse was for Bryan's sister, Brianna). It hasn't changed a bit. I can't wait to come back to Victoria and stay at the Fairmont Empress. What a beautiful hotel. ...
