... humid but not that bad. Go to check in and get told AC down - we can go to Hilton around the corner for the night if we wish as it won't be fixed until the next day. It is 27 degrees and about 80% humidity - no big deal for us - we elect to stay on as almost everyone else heading for the door. We have a very nice room overlooking Bourbon St but can't really see much of the action as we are 8 floors up so after a showers and a change into our summer gear (first time we have needed it) ...

... we jumped on the St. Charles St. tram which we planned to take to the Garden District and then walk back to town, looking at the colonial mansions at the way. That was the plan, but half way there the Tram driver stopped and told us we all had to get off the tram and get on a bus (due to track works) and then would get back on a tram further up the line. Sounds like Sydney eh? Anyway, we didn't get back on the tram, as we got off the bus at Washington ...

Nicholas Cage, known to be a little weird, has purchased a site for his burial in the future and has built a large ugly gray pyramid as his vault. On Friday we awoke to a beautiful Louisiana morning, and after a quick stop at the casino we retrieved Diego and drove to our new hotel (on CHARTer St.) on the other side of the Quarter. In order to cut costs we shared a room with Adhara and Kara since I was only able to get a W discount for Thursday night.
