... Someone else spots it and it turns out he and his wife are from Byron Bay, who ski all around the world. The question is, how did someone from Byron Bay learn how to ski???? Dinner was downstairs and by this stage we had a few cocktails under our belts. Hilton had a very nice pork filet mignon and I had lobster risotto (yes the entree size). We shared a bread pudding then waddled up to the bar for a nightcap. Country music was playing and Hilton was starting to ...

It was hard to leave the charming Blackhills of South Dakota. The Badlands National Park was over 100 degrees F - too hot but the Minuteman Missile site was really interesting. We left the Rocky Mountains slightly disappointed that we did not have more time as there was so much to see and do. Yet, we were anxious to get to yellowstone national park and explore what we had been told was amazing trails, geysers, wildlife and scenery. The route we took was through the Grand Teton national park which, after seeing yellowstone, seemed to be a smaller version of parts of yellowstone; it was very pretty but nothing we had not seen on our travels so far. The ...

... then down to Utah. Scenery changes from huge grazing areas, rural USA townships, some nearly deserted by the look, but those who had residents all had flags flying, once again into Mountains and parks, national forest, and I think I saw another bear (marking it down as one any way). On arrival at the Shilo inn in Salt Lake City, settle in and then a walk was required to the Mormon Tabernacle and Temple. This is the world Mecca for all Mormons and is ...
