      ... until you round the very last corner on the trail. White water rafting was a very worth while activity we both got very wet, well Matt a bit more than me. As well as the class 3 rapids that we navigated we saw, presumably, a pair of mated Bald Eagles, a Beaver and an adolescent Bald Eagle (distinctive because they still have brown feathers on their head).       ... After the ride we descended to find my college friend Ariana and her mom Sheila waiting for us! How exciting! Ariana moved to Idaho from the east coast last year to pursue her PhD – so this was quite a treat! We enjoyed lunch and went out for a nice hike up on a butte not far from the ranch.       We left Yellowstone yesterday and headed through Grand Tetons National Park to Jackson, WY. We thought the mountains in Colorado and the Beartooth Mountains in Montana were beautiful but the Grand Tetons are truly magnificent!  We stopped at a visitor center and got some great maps and information about trails to do.   At the  ranger's suggestion, we went to Jackson Lake Lodge and hiked a very easy trail that faces the lake and the ...
