      ... one had concentric circles on the ceiling another Buddhas and a Buddhist scene with lotus flowers. Many if the caves had names and dates of their occupants, mostly date were in the 70's.
      The cove here is very pretty with a crescent shaped beach, lovely clear water, it would have been lovely living rent free in such beautiful surroundings.

      ... deep gorges, by the middle of the afternoon we turned off the main road and dropped down the side if a gorge, at one point it was so tight you could have touched both sides, however you would have got wet feet in the river. It's amazing how the roads are cut into the hillsides. Passing through a very narrow road in a village the overhanging balconies had their height painted on them, luckily the lowest was 3.5 metres.

      ... very much wildlife around, a few gulls are about all we saw. Our travel agent called us and we completed our transaction, that's it we've got our flights booked, our treks and accommodation in Kathmandu are arranged, we are still working out an itinerary for Namibia but have flights and hotel for our first night booked.       ... edge of where we were driving. From this village we chose to take a track up a canyon rather than the road, it's been a while since we were off roading. The canyon had some really interesting weather worn sand stone formations on the road side and a massive drop on the other side. We stopped hslf way up to take some photographs.       ... just a little at the side of the road, as we climbed it steadily became deeper until it was about 2 feet deep, the road was clear of snow, but narrow in places. We stopped at the top of the hill to take a photo of the remains if a row of windmills built along the ridge. The wind was strong and bitterly cold as we trampled in the snow to get a good shot.
