... and things. Where I was staying it is a nice area with cobblestone and big square with fountains- the main one Plaza de la virgen with a fountain of Poiseidon. I made great friends here with the austrailan girls, a german, two dutch and a girl from norway and we went out together salsa dancing and also to the beach for the whole day following my arrival. For halloween it was quite a treat to see the whole city full of young kids dressed up. It was different ...

This town was really in the middle of nowhere. There was a huge windstorm and the town was super dead, except for a bunch of seniors at the bar down by the beach. We hung out there to use their internet and to watch an episode of Frasier in english. Not our most exciting day. We tried to rent mountain bikes at our resort but they had put them away for the winter... it was like 20 degrees out!

Valencia was perhaps at its most peaceful of moments this Sunday morning as nearly its entire population began their recovery from either yesterday's races or last night's San Juan Festival, and most likely a combination of the two. More people than not on this morning's tram ride were disheveled and sand covered at best, or passed out with spittle dribbling down their cheek and wreaking of the previous night's excesses. ... the mountains of Sierra de Albarracin. We made several journeys in the splendid nature of "Los Montes Universales", a natural preserve with pinewood and peaks to 1700 m. It also is worth to visit the charming Albarracin, it has an interesting set of narrow medieval streets and a wall. A dramatic cliff above the Rio Guadalaviar is the perfect setting for this attractive cluster of mellow pink buildings.
