... and coke were worth it. Today is sunny and 27c, a lovely day.

Tomorrow is the last day of our road trip. We head off to Niagara Falls and then back to Toronto. Should be a good night. The PanAm games start in Toronto tomorrow and there's a heap of activities on all night. We've booked a different hotel, within walking distance of everything.

    Having a great time,

... 9AM arrived and some local contractors started up noisy work on the mainland side. No complaints though, Nettie and And have been disturbing the peace with saw and hammer sounds for over 15 years now with no let up in sight. And contractors who sleep in till 9. Unheard of in Toronto, but traffic is not an issue driving a 7 to 3 contractors work day. Up here it's 9 to 3 to account for slow mornings and some time to fish before dinner for local contractors. Rudy you ...

We have been hunkered down for the past few days with the temperature hovering above and below -27 degrees with a chill factor of about -35 degrees. Brrrrr that means we haven't been getting out much. There have been a number of significant snow falls which have covered everything. At the moment there is an extreme weather warning which means the chill factor is above -30 degrees and this requires ...

... they really only did anything if someone was driving stupidly. This systems seems to work efficiently over the long distances they have to travel mind you their freeways are a lot better built than our country highways.

As we were travelling along at these speeds the roads had snow on them and at times the traffic on the dual lane freeway had to follow snow ploughs clearing the path in front. Once we had to follow ...

... St Lawrence river. The river is mostly frozen and when it drops to the bottom it disappears into a huge hole in the ice. People stand on the ice below the falls and watch it go under. Other people scale the frozen parts of the falls with rock climbing equipment. They are absolutely mad, hopefully you can see one in the photo we took.

Tomorrow we are off to visit Harrietts brother in Kingston before we return to Fenelon Falls.
