Well we now back in Fenelon Falls. The evening prior to us leaving Quebec we decided to go to the Ice Parade at 8.00pm in the evening. It went for 2 hrs and the temp was -26 deg. The parade was very colourful with people dancing, singing and there were many floats. Unfortunately due to the temp our camera wouldn't work. We bailed out after about 1.5hrs as we were freezing despite having foot and hand warmers in ...

... rate with the Canadian dollar its all good value.

As far as driving goes the Canadians are very polite and courteous drivers with no examples of road rage and despite being in a major city no one blows their horn and they give way to pedestrians all the time and just don't seem to stress out despite the terrible road conditions.

... font-size: 17px; line-height: normal;">There is a canal built through the city which is frozen and the public go skating, they also set up food stalls on it and eat things like Beaver tails. These aren't what you think they are, they are actually flat croissant type pastries shaped like beaver tails covered in things like maple syrup butter, or Nutella, Apple and cinnamon, lemon and brown sugar. Very tasty and fattening.

... invigorating standing outside drinking beer while waiting for the meat to cook.

A couple of interesting things that arise doing this that might be interesting to you all is that you cannot put your beer down on the patio, because if it freezes to the patio you cannot shift it without ripping off the bottom of the stubby which causes glass and frozen beer to go everywhere. Therefore you have to then ...

Had not thought about writing on Travel Pod for this trip, but it seems like a good place to share our doings with family and friends who want to know what we are up to. Yesterday Derry and I took the bus to Norwood. Erika picked us up. She and Jenn had organized a birthday party for Maya, who turns 3 in a few weeks. Although we missed the party we joined the ...
