Day 109 - Portland, Oregon

A travel blog entry by trojakstravels

... away. Unlucky for us the place is so known to tourists that the line stretched 2 rows thick outside the store. In 20 minutes we were inside as touristy as everyone else in line. And though someone we passed said they were just regular donuts, we found them larger and better than most. They also had crazy donuts with all sorts of designs and toppings. And they are open 24/7. But they did not have decaf coffee (This place is not ...

... allow yourselves to go to this one day, I promise if you just let it in and go with an open mind, you wont regret it. (I want to throw out a side thank you to all my camp mates at Miso, I had so much fun with you and it was perfect timing for me to gain such a cool new family! Archie's first adventure was to guide us to Mt Hood, with the help of gazza ( garmin gps) of course, so we could do some hiking and explore the beautiful forest and waterfalls Oregon has to offer.
We made good time and ...

... and watching movies, and did a few jobs. To work in a kitchen in California, we have to get a Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of starting work. It was all online, so I had to sit through one hour of a boring lecture, which I learnt most of during my Food Tech degree. There was an exam at the end which I got 92.5%25, when you only needed to get 70%25 so that was good!
Monday 24 - Wednesday 26 June - I had work at 10am for three days in a row, so was great to get some ...
