Today we're driving out of Boston on our way to Quebec. But first we had to pick up our hire car (obviously or we wouldn't be able to drive out of Boston). What a difference hiring a car in the US compared with Italy, France or the UK. Germany was good. They couldn't do enough, calling me Sir or Mister Young would like us to carry your bags, for just a small amount more we can upgrade you to a Chevrolet Equinox that would have more room for your cases (we do seem to have a ...

What a glorious day to not be taking the T into work. No offense Boston, but Bethel, Maine knows what's up.

I opened our balcony door with a hot cup of coffee in hand and took a breath of that cold, fresh Maine air. It smelled like chimney smoke and opportunity. There was a dusting of snow on the ground from the night before, fresh powder waiting for new tracks.

We ate breakfast to the sounds of Vivaldi and Chopin (could have ...

It took about 3 hours all up. Of course had to make a pit stop along the way. The drive was pretty good, mostly highway, but I seem to be getting used to the car. I haven't used the wipers instead of the blinkers all day. We arrived about 1pm and luckily enough they had our room ...
