... Mount Washington. It was all starting to sink in: tomorrow we would embark upon a long, technical climb of 'Ol Washy. On the way back to our mountain cottage, we visited the beautiful Glen Ellis Falls. Pouring more than 600 gallons of water over its edge in just one minute, the powerful falls were quite impressive. It was of course closed for the season (there's a lot of that going on here) so we carrried on and fortunately happened upon another one and then another one which was an old railway bridge, the last still in regular use in Vermont.
