Most of my generation probably knows almost nothing about this since it was in 1957 - sure we've heard about it, maybe breezed past it in history class, but they have a nice visitor's center set up there, with a very good set of exhiits, where you can really learn about the events that happened there and see ...

Woke up to a misty morning and saw that the 10 Aussies had also stayed at the Rancho Inn, so not just me and Kenn who could choose badly! Had a chat with them, they were so organised that they had an "outrider(?)" in a large van with their luggage! Excellent...

Hi All, While I hadn't planned on writing a blog for this road trip,Linda inspired me to write about this part of the country that Steve and I, nor many others, have visited. As the last day I went to a plantation on the West side of the river. The Oak Alley Plantation.

Well this morning we said goodbye to baby Becken (Emily's foal that she named after us!) and the other miniature ponies and Cash, the dog, and my little friend Leila, the kitten! And then it was goodbye to Emily's sister and her awesome mum who had basically adopted us for the week! We did have one more highlight to come though... IHOP!
