Bit of a change from Melaka, this is a hectic city full of market stalls, pollution and sky scrapers. 3rd Jan Last morning in Bangkok so we booked in for a traditional Thai massage in a nice spa, you know how tough it is carrying a backpack for five weeks! Then got the flight to Kuala Lumpur and from the airport we caught the Star Shuttle to Chinatown and what a ride that was. Back to KL for a short stop over before heading to Thailand. We stayed in Chinatown which was much more in the hood but right next to all the great shops and copied merchandise ;0) 1 Fendi leopard print scarf for 7 quid later and we where home and dry.

14/03/09: Departure in the morning towards the city!!. The minibus picks us up and tells us he has no sign of our reservation (although we have done it the previous night). As I am not a morning person, my blood is starting to boil. We get our stuff in the boot, get in the car and tell him to call his boss. We don't care, we are going. A lazy morning was followed by our dumping our luggage at the train station and then spending the afternoon walking round the worlds largest walk in aviary, KL's Bird Park.
