... to make it (I'm not sure what our alternative was if we didn't make it by 4pm!!). The brother gave him a call and he came right back.

Atrani is only a 10 min walk or so, and our host would have driven us all, but his car was packed for his away weekend, so we sent him with mom first and the two heaviest suitcases and started walking. He dropped mom and came back and got us at the halfway mark. Because he is not a resident of ...

... inside our cabin Karen went onto the balcony to take a photograph of the moon. One second her glasses were on her head, the next as she leaned over the railing, they fell to the balcony below, then bounced from there into the water. Lorraine and Jeff came on the train with us from Sorrento. We didn't realize until the end of the day , and 2 hours of time wasted waiting , that the buses were on strike . So we missed the train to Naples after the bus from our campsite didn't turn up to take us to the train station until 40 mins late. Naples was ...

... it was amazing to have this pedestrian area by the sea. We couldn't agree with that more, but unfortunately, it doesn't look like it will last as traffic in Naples is a disaster and the road closure doesn't help (nor does the fact that the police don't bother enforcing any of the traffic laws!).

As we were leaving Naples, it was raining and the motorinos had all but disappeared leaving the city strangely quiet. Hmm, what to expect of ...
