... along the lines of "holy **** check that out!! OH MY GOD can you believe were in Rome!!!!" This bus ride terminated at the main train station Termini where we were due to shortly-ish board a train for our final destination of the day Naples (or Napoli as it's actually called by the Italians). Also much smaller than Pompeii, I was able to explore most of these ruins in an afternoon, including a brief peek into the still-underground Palaestra, in which was found a large and intricate floor mosaic. Having explored most of the ruins I left, admiring an incredible sunset over the Mediterranean. I returned to Naples and, having organised a Couchsurfing host I took my bags, met and had dinner with Tamara, who was heading to Australia the following week.
