... concert the cafe's and the trees lining the streets were still the same,it was very interesting to walk thru the plain and see the old church ,and gov house,and all the old buildings in the surroundings of the plain.We sat an had Apple pie with cream and Rien had a beer ,we sat and watched the people walk by,it then started to rain and everyone ran into the shop to buy umbrellas ,even we had to buy one,then the sun came out ,just a little shower!!,,,.,we walked thru ...

... traffic lanes. You have to do that because after that you get to speak to a human who will realise that you don't have a Flexiplus ticket.....
Today I leant that they have changed the machines so that they reject you if you don't have the right ticket...queue mild bollocking from a otherwise very pleasant lady...she still let me through though!
Stayed on the A roads to a town/village called Monschau, the weather ...

This hotel I chose on price and the fact it is 400 yrs old , dark and gruesome looking inside . Perfect for Friday the 13th .David thought the stairs moved like out of Harry potter .

The village is a tourist town ,cobbled roads and a one way system .hard to get around but ...

I guess the theme to all these posts is beer, but come on. We are in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium after all. As you can tell we drank some great Belgian beer and had some great chocolate. Tongeren was also interesting because it is one of the oldest towns in Belgium, so it had a lot of cool old buildings and crumbling cobblestone ...

We took a 2.5 hour train from Delft to Maastricht, which is suppose to be completely different from the rest of the Netherlands. We were not disappointed.
