So we headed out to start our journey around Macedonia! First stop would be Popova Kula winery! We packed all of our stuff in the car and drove through a lot of mountains, I didn't realize how mountainous Macedonia is! Everywhere we looked there they were, beautifully huge mountains with trees everywhere we looked. We drove for a few hours and realized we were a little lost so stopped at a hotel/restaurant to ask for help and grab a bit to eat. After a ...

However, when we got there, the sun was starting to peak through and the rain had let up. We were all slightly ...

The bus pulled out of Skopje and I watched the sun finally setting from the window, I could get all symbolic about it and say it was the sun setting on my brief visit to Macedonia but instead I just took a picture of it and listened to some tunes while swigging beer from a 2 litre bottle (only about 1.20 in Macedonia and was fast becoming my new travelling ...

... names and the names of their fathers, the royals didn't deign to do so. Surely no one would forget them! Alas, not so. After the tombs, we slowly made our way through a few very hot souvenir shops and I went to fetch the car. The on-board thermometer was reading 44C-no wonder no one else was around except for us! We drove up to the site of the Aigai palace and discovered it was closed! Judging by the large piles of gravel before the gate and the ...
