    ... ruinous houses which was only inhabited by two remaining families. During the day we saw some other places like this where very few people lived in abandoned villages in the countryside. We also had some great views over the hills around Dojran. At one point, Pinko bent down and picked up the button from the jacket of a French soldier in WW1! That was really cool, it was there for almost 100 years!

    ... Did I mention it's raining! We manage to top up the Internet package after a short wait, mobile shops are always very busy here in Greece. We had decided to buy a second SIM card to use in the net book, so we walked into the rest of the town to track down another network. From the production room we went to the storage area, rows of barrels were stacked on their sides, once a week the bungs are removed and the sediment is mixed around the liquid to improve the flavour.     ... go to a supermarket in Greece on a Saturday?? We would never do that in the UK. The shop was very busy, we didn't know where anything was and when you are trying to look at what's on offer you always seem to be in someone's way, it turned out up be very stressful. We had lunch and drove to Epanomi, a village with swimmable beaches and two churches with lavish icons on the coast about 25 km away, we plan to visit the winery here tomorrow.
