... es hier auch ganz schoen viele Baecker mit wunderbaren Torten, Kuchen und Keksen. Aber da ja eh Diwali (Mischung aus Weihnachten und Silvester) war, kann das ja als Festtagsschlemmerei abgetan werden!
Von Shimla gings dann mit dem Nachtbus (sogar im Semideluxebus = Kopfstuetze und so breite Sitzplaetze, dass wirklich mal der Hintern draufpasst) weiter in den Norden nach Manali. Fruehs um 5 ist es hier ganz schoen kalt und so kommen wir mit Eiszapfenzehen am Guesthouse ...

... McLeod Ganj is a beautiful little place set amid the green hills of Himachel Pradesh. A lot of the time we whiled away afternoons people-watching and sipping good coffee. We also walked to the neighbouring villages of Dharamkot and Bhagsu. Dharamkot was a less touristy village that lay further up the hills with gorgeous views. In Bhagsu we visited the waterfall which was very picturesque.

This turned out to be a poor decision, because the bus ride to Dharamsala is considerably longer and more windy from this town. We didn't know that. I wish we did. The bus ride to Dharamsala was easily the worst bus ride I have ever had. It was long. It was bone jarring. And it was very crowded. I am writing first time at here. I started this journey from the Chandigarh city's ISBT-43 by boarding a bus to Dharamsala which is 240 kms away. I boarded the bus at 00:30, there are buses for dharamsala in every 1 and 2 hours. Next morning after a 6 & half hours journey i reached at dharamsala bus stand.
