    Slept in and packed up the car.. decided to head down to Miami
    We were sad to say goodbye to our one bedroom suite

    Took the Florida Turnpike down to Miami.. unfortunately it had a TON of tolls. argh

    Went to El Arte Bakery and Cafeteria for some guava cheese and other Cuban pastries. Gotta get the good stuff, since we missed it in LA.

    Went to go get Cuban food for dinner, bought it to-go ...

    ... other. We of course tell them we're from Ohio, because in the real world people from Ontario do not make this kind of happy fun with people from Quebec.

    To get a feel for Hollywood Beach do a google images search. But do avoid looking at the hi-rise photos. They don't at all do the place justice.

    ... a Holocaust Memorial which was organised by a committee after the war and is still maintained by them. There are lots of stretches of water around the 3 main islands but they are all manmade. Apparently they are the only place where both alligators and crocodiles can be found. The houses on the islands can be reached by yachts and are owned by multi-billionaires. We did disembark the bus in Miami Beach as it was a hop on hop ...

    ... born New Yorker. The tour guide (Mirka) arrived soon after and took us to our first restaurant – Bolivar. We were seated at tables and given an empanada with a chilli and coriander sauce along with shredded beef on a bed of fried plantain, both of which were very good. They also gave us a glass of beer mixed with some sort of fruit flavoured soda.
