... Bowness-on-Windermere is bigger then Waterhead. It's the central location for all of the ferries doing tours of the lake. I enjoyed walking amongst all of the little shops & cafes. I did walk up to Windermere from here, which again has lots of little feature, but mainly the tourist centre & train station are here.

... Lake, along some very narrow roads. On the way back to Kendal we stopped at Low Sizergh Farm shop for lunch and dinner supplies. The shop sells mainly local produce including cheese, bread, ice cream, jams, home made cakes and any type of meat you can think of. ... but we do it and get back to the car with 5 mins to spare. We both wouldn't mind a coffee, but are not willing to pay for more parking plus coffee in the overpriced tourist cafes that are round about, so we decide to head a few miles down the road to Queensferry and our next great sight.
