Suspense in Millau
... we walked out if there with far too few souvenirs.
It was quite interesting to read about the viaduct - the Millau bridge is the tallest bridge in the world and broke several bridge records - the highest pylons in the world, the highest bridge tower in the world, the highest bridge road surface in Europe, etc. We got some rather nice shots from the vantage point under the Viaduct and made friends with the local stray cat. Walked into the township of Millau, it is only a 10 minute walk from here and very enjoyable. We had nowhere special to walk to so we just ...
From Italy to France
... book which unexpectantly brought us on and over the bridge. did not take enough notice of it as we were a bit anxious about Basil not working but we will do it all again tomorrow and appreciate this magnificant structure to its fullest. It realy stands out. Funnily enough as soon as we were back onto the old road Basil got going again and took us to our campsite which is lovely and quiet and close to town
