... drove by the lovely Catskill park, walked in the little town of Hudson where we ate a hamburger in a very American style diner, aluminium counter and little stools.
He took me to the Olana state historic site, the house and estate of a famous landscape painter, Frederick Church, I downloaded one picture (of course not allowed to take pictures), and I accompanied him to an auction, I love to see the auctioneer going fast and hitting the hammer!

Our anchorage at Houghtaling Island was very pretty and we felt like we were in a jungle..... the birds were so loud and as the afternoon progressed the crickets took over.
