    ... 30 miles from the Minnesota border staying at the Turtle Lake, WI RV Park which is on Route 8. It's nothing fancy at all, but good enough for us. There's a nice breeze, it got sunny and best of all, NO MOSQUITOS!!!! Took Sandy for a nice walk and we gained an hour today......it was a long day,, but all is good and we are continuing to enjoy ourselves. Hope everyone back home is good and keep on reading.     ... and over a fence and into a stream. He finally found them...okay, they found him, but...anyway, the deer are safe and so were Mike and the girls. I don't think he will be letting them off the leash again for a while.

    ... drove west on Highway 8 - a lonely road but a good one, dotted with a number of unincorporated communities that seem to simply slow the speed down a couple notches very briefly and often a gas station is the only open business and some small towns showing populations of 92 to 3400 or so.     Yesterday was a slow start. I took advantage of the kitchen at the Bunkhouse and had breakfast watching TV, brought me back to grade school.
