We stopped in for lunch at the local restaurant and checked out the view from the top of the castle wall, which is pretty much an empty shell these days. The catholic church was quite quaint inside, but we had to keep moving on.

... the forecasts is that the temperature will increase by a couple of degrees each day, reaching about 20 degrees by the time we reach Paris. Such a difference from what has been in those areas over the past two weeks. So it is a nice but cold 6 degree day to head off to Heidelberg, but later it got down to 2 degrees. ... Rhein und Neckar, die offensichtlich in der Badezeit täglich mehrere Opfer forderte."

...for the first time with the so called wild bathing in the Rhine and Neckar, which apparently claimed many victims daily in the bathing time! Apparently it was super popular in the 1930s until the war, but there are plenty of locals that still come down to catch some rays. There are so many swimming pools ...

For our last day trip we returned to Heidelberg, Germany. Our first visit was on a Holiday so the shops and attractions were closed. Today we just went to the castle and looked through a few shops before returning home.
