... there quickly. So we jumped on the train in Mannheim at 7am and arrived at Kassel at 9:30am. We managed to make our connecting train, but the train never left the platform due to "technical issues."

... although not outstanding.

Really cool and outstanding was my little trip up the castle. I walked down but drove up with a cool lift :-) The castle is absolutely beautiful, a must see. I only had little time so I went to see the pharmacy museum in the castle walls, rather then visiting the castle rooms.

I would have loved to stay longer still am very happy with what I saw. The castle / the ruin of the castle is charming and beautiful.

... money to finish out the tour. We then headed to dinner, which was traditional bratwurst and sauerkraut. The majority of the kids scarfed it down. Even those who normally don't care for the dish ate it because they were so tired and hungry, they didn't have time to be fussy or picky. We returned to the bus and checked in at our hotel 30 mins north of Heidelberg. The kids either went to the Pizzeria next door for some more food or down the street to the gas ...
