Some had large arches carved into the walls with shelves below them, and some had niches where votive would have been placed. As we climbed along the narrow ledges between the caves the ceilings became higher, some of the interiors had 70's ...

... deep gorges, by the middle of the afternoon we turned off the main road and dropped down the side if a gorge, at one point it was so tight you could have touched both sides, however you would have got wet feet in the river. The cove is very nice, there is a long beach in a tight curve with steep mountain sides at each end, the centre area is all olive trees leading up a gentle incline to the village which us about 5 kilometres away. There is one taverna which is closed up for the winter which has a small lake behind it and at ...

Our travel agent called us and we completed our transaction, that's it we've got our flights booked, our treks and accommodation in Kathmandu are arranged, we are still working out an itinerary for Namibia but have flights and hotel for our first night booked. Back from our walk we had a late lunch and then packed up to drive to Agios Nikolias, overlooking the Mirrabello Bay, a narrow ...

... edge of where we were driving. From this village we chose to take a track up a canyon rather than the road, it's been a while since we were off roading. The canyon had some really interesting weather worn sand stone formations on the road side and a massive drop on the other side. We stopped hslf way up to take some photographs. At the top we found a fairly big road which took us down to Elounda from where there are fine mountain views. The main resort is ...
