... all the countries in which Zonta is represented were presented, many of them carried by members in national costume. With great excitement we greeted 4 new countries, one of which, Macau, only officially chartered its first club a few days ago. Before the flag ceremony they had the national anthems of USA & NZ. The first was great, ours was sung by a young chap with a fabulous voice who managed to muck up both the Maori & NZ ...

The days that followed our arrival back home were filled with disbelief that the vacation went by so fast and was so great. Sometimes we even questioned if it happened at all, or if like it's namesake it was in its entirety solely a dream.

... With it's red post boxes and telephone booths, we saw pubs, Shakespearian street actors, King Arthur inspired banners, chandeliers, swords and shields adorning the inside of one building and changing again once we walked through to the next room to be inside the Toy Soldier Store and surrounded by BEATLES memorabilia! With my Yellow Submarine Christmas Ornament purchased, we finally got to have some true "Fish'n'Chips". Oh how we have missed this fatty fast food ...
