... subway back to Boston. I decide do take a trolley tour of The Freedom Trail as it takes in the most significant historical sites of the Revolutionary War. It was actually pretty good, I saw all of the key sites and learnt a lot about Paul Revere's ride and the key battles in and around the city and Charlestown. After wards I walked back to some I particularly liked and spent some time around the Boston Common, Beacon Hill area. Caught the subway back to Cambridge about ...

We then joined the Seaport loop, the pier was very pretty and looked across the harbour to boston airport where you could watch ...

Tramping back we realised that we hadn't stopped for lunch so at 3.30 we popped into a nice Italian restaurant on a back street called Salem St. We were seated next to a couple of sisters who hailed from Boston and had a very nice chat with them as we ate. I had an excellent pizza whilst Chris had a fusili pasta ...

... early start enabled us to catch the high speed ferry and some 1 hour 30 mins later we arrived at the beautiful and historic resort. The crossing was billed as "calm" but as I have the sea legs that are capable of being knocked of balance by looking at a pond in a strong wind, green gills appeared without warning and I went "on deck" for some air pleased to note land was in sight...... Cape Cod architecture is unique and is typified by small wooden buildings ...
