We had to wait 15 minutes for them to open, and were the first customers through the door. Couple of hours later, we emerged with plenty more kilos of luggage to carry around America. Emily and her brother David joined us, and it was only the 4 of us in the tour! Saba, the guide, was lovely ...

An even bigger bonus was parking was FREE at the Ferry Terminal in Salem & we got to see Boston Harbour from the water!! We lucked out again with the weather & had not only a lovely sunny day but it reached 75F - not bad for October

... Ground, surrounded now by tall buildings, is the final resting place of 5,000 Boston colonials including Benjamin Franklin’s parents and founding fathers John Hancock, Robert Treat Paine, and Samuel Adams.

The Massachusetts State House is the last one in New England on my list, having made it to the other five state’s capitols in 2005. The domed building designed by Charles Bulfinch is considered very significantly architecturally. The now ...
