We immediately relaxed into the town, we enjoyed the pool and sunbeds at our hostel, we ate well, we pretended to be real tourists poking around the souvenir shops selling tat and just had an all-round great time relaxing and talking in the atmosphere.

The weather was not being very kind, the sky was filled with grey clouds and the sun made just a couple of brief appearances which showed off the beautiful bright aqua pools to the their full potential. We all wanted to go to watch the sunset in the ...

... the beach. We ate mangos and drank a few beers. We then went for a walk along the beach to a place where Gaston and Sebas had been before to eat some prawns. We ordered a cocktail each and ate prawns. Gaston treated me which was nice, because at this point I needed to remind myself that I am a backpacker not a luxury traveller. By about 4pm the tide had come up and over the reef, it looked so beautiful I wanted a quick swim before we went. I went ...

Couldn’t find anywhere to go, even remote little places inland, as one of the busiest saturdays of the year, so forced to stay, what a hardship!

Hadn’t yet done the “piscinas naturales” so headed there mid-tide – low tide is crammed with boats and people standing on the reef. As it was, the reef ...
