Last night was probably one of the best nights I've had so far on contiki. I woke up drunk again at 7am and had to pack all of my stuff. I skipped breakfast because I didn't have time and I was also about to throw up. I'm actually normally a grandma at home and hardly drink so this holiday is giving my liver a run for its money that's for sure. I packed my stuff and had ten minutes to spare, I literally thought I was dying I felt SO ****. I got on the bus and ...

By about 4.30 pm we were on the outskirts of Rome, we had already chosen a camping stop and headed there. We parked up, there was just one other camper parked. ... consultant skills we did what any switched on person would do and pre-booked our tickets online. We whizzed right past all the suckers waiting in a long queue in the hot sun straight inside and spent close to 4 hours admiring all the artwork and pieces in the archives. They reckon if you looked at every piece in the Vatican museum for 1 minute each it would take you 12 years! We just stuck to the main areas, and that took forever! Paintings such as Rafael's School of Athens, ...

... a quick orientation tour of Rome so they could get their bearings but Ron, Jan and I wandered around Trastevere and had a reasonably early meal in one of the very many restaurants there. Greg came past and walked me back to my apartment and as I was the first one back it all seemed very quiet, however after I was in my room it was just like I was staying in any other type of hotel. An observation on hotels in Italy is that they all have bidets, which is common throughout ...
