Sea turtles and lion fish

... the turtles being closed due to a private event. But we persevered (and asked directions several times) and we were soon rewarded with a lagoon full of turtles. My turtle jones having been met, next we made reservations for afternoon snorkeling, then set off to find food, and enjoyed really good curry at Shark Bites.

After lunch I ventured to Marina Village for souvenir shopping for family (rum cakes!!!) and then we met our fellow snorkelers ...

Nassau

... touristy - but very fun - Pirates of Nassau museum. Like the gallery, we had the whole place to ourselves. (I questioned how our entrance fee could possibly cover the electricity and other daily operational expenses?)

The museum tour also ended in a bar (seeing a theme yet? :), where we enjoyed more rum, watched some baseball and had an interesting conversation with another ...

We had reserved a deep water swim at Dolphin Cay for Monday. But after the requisite wandering for what seemed like days to find the cay, we were famished and rescheduled our swim for a little later in the day so we could get something to eat first. After finding lunch, we had just enough time to enjoy a very fun spin around the river rapids in an inflated tube (and here I thought water parks were just for children :)

... t help but overhear - since it was 3 feet away from me - between an individual with a Sopranos accent and a Rastafarian - any "herbal" refreshments one might wish to acquire.

On our way back to the hotel, we (of course) got lost and discovered a fantastic lagoon with a rope bridge over hammerhead sharks!!!! That evening we ventured to the swanky part of Atlantis at the Cove and enjoyed a very tasty buffet at Mosaic, and then drinks at Sea Glass.

... breakfast there is an announcement that there has been a delay due to high seas but they are trying their hardest to make it work. So we wait and wait and wait. We go to the library, watched a movie, walked around the ship and finally they tell us we're not going to be able to get off in coco cay! Major sad face!!
