... be standing there ;-). Because of this incident we came in Chavin one hour later than planned. As we were going to take the bus to Lima at night we were a little stressed out about not getting back in Huaraz on time. The ruins were very well kept and therefore really interesting to visit. When we look back it was all worth it.
The way back went without any incidents and we still hade time to eat in La Brasa Roja and get our bus to Lima

... not be surprising about what happened on the ride home, we ran over a dog. Ran it over and did not even slow down, culture shock at its best. No one in the taxi knew what to say it was an awkward silence and a quick look at everyone else in the cab and down the road we went. I think for the rest of the ride home everyone cringed at the sight of any animal or small human on the side of the road. We managed to make it home and we were physically unscathed ...

So as we´re driving off, I´m in the passenger seat, the 3 or 4 people left in town are waving frantically at the front passenger tire and i´m too tired to realize, but it´s completely flat ...
Very interesting ruins (and that's coming from a person who's not a fan of ruins and even skipped Machu Picchu - twice!) of a peoples way before the Inca empire.
Also lovely hot springs in the shape of bath tubs, mmmmm nice and warm and smelly!
