... we made it to the final camp it was actaually 2:30pm and we had got there faster than Abel had expected. The camp was in Abels friends garden. There was a Trout pool, Guinee Pigs, Rabbit and Chickens. Unfortunately we didnt eat any of those but at night time , the house owner played the Harp for us. He was really good at playing but couldnt sing for toffee and was probably high as a kite on some illegal substance !!!

... Den ersten Tag relaxten wir nur, Roberto hatte Probleme mit der Höhe und ich war auch etwas kaputt. Den zweiten Tag verbrachte ich im Internet, während Roberto draußen arbeitete... und am dritten Tag entschied ich mich dannendlich dazu, nochmal alleine eine Tour zu machen und zwar zum Gletscher Pastoruri und den Puya raimondi – die größten Bromelien der Welt!

Die Tour war die beeindruckendste bisher, noch nie hatte ...

... takes you up a broad alpine valley not unlike Switzerland. For maybe the first time since Valle Frances in Torres del Paine we were completely hemmed in by huge ice giants on all sides. We took it easy as Cara was still recovering fitness after her illness and eventually started climbing up past a waterfall that must have been five to six hundred feet high. All around there were silvery leafed lupins and another type with large flowering spikes ...

... s defense, the van had smooth tires and the bridge was under repair, which caused us to take an unexpected detour. However, the fact remains that we were motionless. Out got the guide, the driver and a brave passenger and into the freezing, cold water. I was lucky enough not to have to sink into the calf muscle high as they were able to move enough rocks out of the way to aid our way out.
