... it was only $40, we were given room 125 and assigned the last chalet in the block. We drove down more than happy with our little oasis. Parking up and feeling like we were on homeland rents, with a couple of shady characters lurking about, we took our essential supplies in. On opening the door, the musty plume of smell jumped in our faces, wrinkling both our noses in distaste. We looked at each other and creased at the flea pit we had picked for the night. Settling ...

Leaving Walmart, Joplin this morning we travelled along Route 66 through Missouri and in to Kansas. There is only 13 miles of R66 in Kansas, so it doesn't take us long to drive through this corner of the state. Along the way we drive through Galena where we caught up with Mater (from the Cars Movie) and some of his friends, then on to Riverton, over the Rainbow Arch bridge, where we stopped for photos, then on to Baxter Springs, the place ...

Here is where we had a great lunch of pizza and parmesan salad, sitting outside under our awning, using our outside table and chairs for the first time. Some of the signs on the highways are a bit hard to understand - we ...

I was actually shocked today by something that happened. I was pulled aside by Rick Allen in order to talk about PTSD effects. He was having an off day and needed someone to confide in. It was really nice to be the one he sought out. I never expected to make an impact on his life when I was selected for this ...

... we stayed 2 & 3 days in most places...that's a lot of driving, huh? Putting our finger to the side of our nose, [siting that famous lymric] we got straight to our work. Actually we unloaded all belongings and food stuffs, started a load of wash and opened up the house to breathe in less than 2 hours. Thankfully, our home and all here is in good order, just the way we left it....with the addition of some new tree limbs in ...
