... We did launtry, returned the last 2 bikes, read on the front porch and finally came back to our room and watched TV. Today the Red Sox traded their 2 ace pitchers: Jon Lester andJohn Lackey (won 7 of our 12 post season games last year), along with 5 other World Series starters to other teams today on the trade deadline. The day started out with breakfast in the hotel Vanderbilt Grace. The house was originally built by Alfred Vanderbilt for his mistress. Then it was converted to a YMCA for years until it was converted to a Boutique hotel that we stayed at with 33 rooms. We had the same waitress, Laura, that we had yesterday. She is a student at U of Rhode Island. Another good meal, checked out and drove to the Providence Airport getting there by 10 am. ...

... spot was more spectacular than the next. Along the way we stopped at Chilmark Pottery, Martha's Vineyard Glassworks (where I purchased a rainbow colored vase), and Granary Gallery. For over 50 years the Granary Gallery has been one of Martha's Vineyards most spectacular galleries. Signed photographs of Alfred Eisenstaedt, and over 300 local artisans are on display.
