    ... he likes the challenge of learning something new too. After we found the right battery and ordered it we drove through Jacksonville to get to the A1A. Jacksonville seems to be a very working class city and as it was Sunday, the streets were very very quiet. It took awhile to make our way through the streets but we managed to get through Jacksonville and onto the A1A.     Wow .. that’s some garage door !

    We drove past the Vehicle Build Centre - a massive building with a HUGE door where the “Crawler” exits with the space craft prior to it being launched. The Control Centre is nearby but the Launch Pad is a safe distance of 5 miles away.

    ... preparation we had installed a watermaker to make fresh water from sea water, new plumbing, single side band radio, 880 watts of solar panels, sails repaired and reinforced, lots of safety gear added, had the boat inspected, performed maintenance on everything, etc. etc.
