      ... Hudson River Valley

We drove south Along Taconic State Parkway south to I84 then west to Tri State Area at Point Jervis where New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania all intersect. Paul had told us about this unique place where the interstate crosses the Delaware river. The key for us was a campground called Tri State RV Campground (clever name, huh?). So after 276 hard, grueling, yet beautifully scenicked miles we dragged our selves into ...

This morning we explored the area of Boston known as Beacon Hill. It is an area with lots of narrower streets with traditional gas lamps (now electrified). We had a great breakfast on Charles Street at a place called Paramount. I had Huervos Rancheros which was awesome (read with american accent). This place just got it right and had a massive queue out the door. What I liked most was the strict seat enforcement policy. There was a big sign saying that you are not allowed to sit until ...

... murky, grey, dark clouds and a lot of surface water. The other notable feature of the day was the towns we passed through or by en route - Manchester, Liverpool, Rome, Syracuse, Waterloo, Utica and Troy to name but a few.
We did hop off for a dose of historical culture, however, at Johnson Hall, where a British settler, Sir William Johnson, forged relationships with the native Indians in the Mohawk Valley. ...

Had a bit of a sleep in although Wes did not have a good night so he did not really get any more sleep than usual. Wonderful breakfast upstairs where we were treated to china crockery and metal knives and forks. It is amazing how much you appreciate small things like that when you have had paper and plastic for 4 1/2 weeks.

Went for a drive to Albany, the capital of New York state. We are staying about 12 miles from the centre of Albany which would be about Bald Hills ...
