We decided a boat ride would be a great way to see Lake George. Our boat was named Mohican, and gave us a great ride around the lake. The lake is 32 miles long as has lots of history. We were surprised at how populated the lake is with homes and just how popular the lake is for boaters. The state owns numerous islands where you can camp with limited amenities, but you must have a boat as that is the only way to ...

Our drive from Danville, Vermont to Lake George, NY was only 146 miles, but with road construction and traffic it took us 4 hours. We arrived at our campground, King Phillips and got a very nice spot with plenty of grass to walk the dogs.

Oh well, I was just paged to go back out to my camera, I need to get it set for the show.

... is great for people working in inclusive classrooms in any setting. Paula took us on a whirlwind our of some of her thinking one of her takeaways was the line that "inclusion isn't a place it's a process" and that "our expectations for this community of learners has never been high enough". She's not saying we don't want the best but implying that we don't assume capacity or competence always. She told a story about a pre-verbal autistic kid who used to have a ...

... we begin again. If the specialists we work with repeatedly tell us only they can deliver, it becomes unsustainable and detrimental. That's like only teaching one person how to do the personal care routine with a young person; when they're off sick, does it stop? This could be teacher to TA and vice verse, therapist to educationalist, social carer to therapist, the cycle goes on. I've worked with colleagues that are so 'precious' about their way that only ...
