Off to town, we had a nice little breakfast to fuel up for the day. It is at this point I must interject that we had to make a quick stop by the hardware store, where, just the day before, I bought a pair of sunglasses after I apparently left mine somewhere in the Letchworth Park area. ... the town in the evening. The kids enjoyed the gelato. We stopped at an outdoor bar named Gaffney's for a drink and snack. We sat amongst the outdoor lights and played several rousing games of UNO-my favorite family time of the dar. A quick room change (due to a street level window that wouldn't close) took us to a more spacious room. We really enjoyed our "stop over" and would love to come back during horse and music ...

We woke up to sunshine which was the first we had seen in days so I was sort of feeling torn between racing home or spending a few moments checking out the Lake. We asked for some suggestions from the front desk and got a great tip to take the scenic drive up Prospect Mountain which was literally a few blocks away. The drive cost $10 but had several view points out over the lake ...
